Company - History

In 1990 Jan de Braal decided to start-up Yerseke Engine Services. A Dutch company located in Yerseke, Holland. Yerseke Engines Services is a company specialised in repairing, maintenance and overhauling Caterpillar marine auxiliary and propulsion engines and marine generator sets.

The business formula of Yerseke Engine Services was very straightforward: high quality products and fast service, all with a personal touch. This formula turned out to be successful and the company expanded during the nineties, resulting in the construction of a new and modern workspace in 2000.

Antwerp Diesel Repair

In 2001 the business activities were further expanded to Belgium by establishing a second company: Antwerp Diesel Repair (ADR), the Authorized Marine Dealer in Belgium. The company is located in the port of Antwerp. Antwerp Diesel Repair supplies and installs new Caterpillar gearboxes, auxiliary engines, generators and propulsion engines, as well as complete propulsion systems.

Diesel Mecanica

With a strong market position in West Europe, in 2007 the company decided to again expand its business activities, this time in Eastern Europe by establishing the company Diesel Mecanica in Constanta, Romania. The company is being managed by Willem the Braal, the oldest son of Jan de Braal.

Diesel Mecanica serves clients that are active in the Black Sea region as well as clients on the Danube River. Diesel Mecanica is the Authorized Marine Dealer of Caterpillar in Romania. DM supplies and installs new Caterpillar gearboxes, auxiliary engines, generators and propulsion engines, as well as complete propulsion systems.
